The Hilversum Sound

Made at Holland Centraal.

‘The Hilversum Sound’ shows how professionals in media & entertainment work together with musicians to make, record and distribute music.

The design is based on musical elements like metronome, rhythm, key and dynamics to create visual translations  that are based on well-known tunes.

Since sound is dynamic and ever changing, moving image was the starting point for the design. From there static images were created, like the logo, which can be used in many different forms.
